Luxury Hotel Made from 35 Recycled Shipping Containers Opens Next Month in China

    The <a href="http://www.lvshedesign.net/" target="_blank">Tonghe Shanzi Landscape Design </a>company has built their incredible five star Xiang Xiang Xiang Pray House hotel entirely out of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/photos-brooklyns-new-shipping-container-pop-up-pool-and-beach-overlooks-downtown-manhattan/" target="_blank">shipping containers</a>! Looking like a drab shipping container village from the outside, the hotel oozes luxurious design inside its twenty-one cozy guest rooms, arranged on the side of a hill in Changski, China. Each room is fitted with with traditional Chinese décor, skylights, high-design furniture and more!

    Each is furnished with high quality sofas, fixtures and bedding, including traditional lanterns and furniture. Guests can also hang out in the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/power-in-a-box-princetons-disaster-relief-solar-and-wind-generator-fits-in-a-shipping-container/" target="_blank">shipping container</a> lobby and restaurant, or watch a tea ceremony or music performance in the courtyards.

    The pop-up hotel took just three months to design and install, exercising the alternative uses that facilities like these could have in disaster situations. The <a href="http://inhabitat.com/upcycled-shipping-containers-transformed-into-modern-spaces-by-whitecrate/" target="_blank">container hotels</a> could also be designed in one city, and easily transported to another, making pop-up hotels possible anywhere.
