Mercedes-Benz and Cigarette Racing just unveiled the world’s fastest electric boat – the Cigarette AMG Electric Drive. The vehicle, which is set to debut this week at the Miami International Boat Show, borrows many of its components from the SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive. With a total output of 2,200 hp and a maximum torque of 2,213 ft-lb, the Cigarette AMG Electric Drive concept has a top speed over 100 mph.

The team fitted the sports car’s high-performance technology in a Cigarette Racing watercraft to create the world’s fastest and most powerful electrically driven boat. The Cigarette AMG Electric Drive boat is fitted with two drive units, each of which features six independent electric motors. Each drive unit has its own transmission at the rear of the boat – one on the left and one on the right.
The 38-foot-long Cigarette AMG Electric Drive concept is finished in “AMG Electricbeam Magno”, which is the same matte chrome paintwork exclusively reserved for the SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive.
