Method launches impressive new line of affordable prefab homes

Prefab manufacturer <a href="http://methodhomes.net/about-method/" target="_blank">Method Homes</a> teamed up with <a href="http://www.elemental.co.uk/" target="_blank">Elemental Design</a> to create a new series of cost-effective modular <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/affordable-housing/" target="_blank"> homes </a>that come in six different floorplans. In order to make their prefab homes even more eco-friendly, Method Homes streamlined their design process with sustainability upgrades and they offer hand-selected interior palette and finish options.

The newly launched model offers bedrooms and 2 baths with a compact 1,483 square foot of living space comprised of two modules.

Designed by Method Homes' architect partner Chris Pardo Designs: Elemental Architecture, the model was originally created for the Ft. Peck Sustainable Village project currently being built by Method as part of its Make it Right Foundation.

The team decided to launch the model and make it publicly available after the Dwell on Design Conference in LA.

Each home is custom-tailored, allowing a high degree of flexibility "with a reduced construction timeline and fixed cost contract that makes prefab a smart choice.”

Besides the newest series, the firm offers eight lines of sustainable models that range from modern cabins, uber-modern urban homes, and Net-Zero ready homes to classic cottages.

Each structure can be customized with different finish options and specifications.
