New floating bar and restaurant aboard revamped 10,000-square-foot yacht coming to Pier 81

    <a href="http://andrewfranz.com/work/index.html">Andrew Franz Architect</a> is bringing some of the intoxicating waterfront ambiance of its popular uptown restaurant project <a href="http://www.lamarinanyc.com/">La Marina</a> to midtown with a new 3-story floating eatery and bar aboard a refurbished 10,000-square-foot yacht. The NY-based architecture firm channeled its riverfront restaurant expertise to design the new venture, called Fish Bar at North River Landing, for New York Cruise Lines, Inc. The new nautical lounge and dining destination is expected to open this summer at Pier 81.

    When complete, <a href="http://northriverfishbar.com/">Fish Bar at North River Landing</a> will join NYCL's award-winning floating lobster shack <a href="http://northriverlobsterco.com/">North River Lobster Company</a> at West 42nd Street on the Hudson River.

    The more upscale but still laid-back venue will be decked out with nautical touches like reclaimed teak floors, bars lined with hammered brass, and upholstered banquettes.
