Last week, New Yorkers got their first peek at the design for the new area of Brooklyn Bridge Park at Pier 6, and we have to say that they're simply gorgeous. Park executives from the <a href="http://ny.curbed.com/tags/bjarke-ingels-group">Bjarke Ingels Group</a> (BIG) unveiled <a href="http://www.brooklyneagle.com/articles/priceless-pier-6-brooklyn-bridge-park-unveils-stunning-renderings-2013-08-27-170000">11 brand new renderings</a> showing the plan for the currently undeveloped waterfront area of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/listing/brooklyn-bridge-park-pier-6/">the park</a>. The landscape architect, <a href="http://ny.curbed.com/tags/michael-van-valkenburgh-associates">Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates</a>, envisions the new green space as a large open lawn and flower-filled meadow.
