That's the vision behind the Green Line concept, a proposal by <a href="http://www.perkinseastman.com/" target="_blank">Perkins Eastman Architects</a> that would see the iconic street transformed into a <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/tag/green-spaces/" target="_blank">linear green park</a> running from Columbus Circle to Union Square.1
