Supertall buildings have been all the buzz in Manhattan lately and now Brooklyn is set to join the club. As reported by 6sqft, New York-based SHoP Architects has released new renderings of the ultra-thin, 90-story tower they’ve been working on for the BK. Located at 340 Flatbush Avenue Extension, the massive 600,000-square-foot project is poised to become the tallest building in the outer boroughs when complete.

The tower will be built on Brooklyn’s landmarked Dime Savings Bank site, which was acquired, along with the surrounding property, by developers Michael Stern and Joe Chetrit. Once completed, the building will be Brooklyn’s first tower over 1,000 feet and will have 466,000 square feet of residential space along with 140,000 square feet of commercial space.

Last month, 6sqft shared a video of the “insane views” from the top of the tower. Although some may lament the construction of such a high tower in the beloved Brooklyn area, you have to admit that the views of Manhattan are going to be stellar.
340 Flatbush Avenue Extension is expected to open for sale in mid-2018 with a completion date slated for 2019.
