Located in the historic Maltz Building, which originally served as a manufacturing and printing hub in the Printing House District, Squarespace’s new offices will continue the building’s communications legacy. To carry the torch properly, the company decided to forgo frivolous games and cool gadgets. Instead, the clean and elegant interior design scheme focused on providing employees with a functional layout that encourages both socialization and individuality.
As a design-based service, the Squarespace team was determined to showcase their dedication to form and function as a prevalent theme in the new space, something that is evident upon entering the building. What was once the print company’s old loading bay is now Squarespace’s vibrant lobby.
The elegant space greets visitors with art by emerging artists, including work by actual Squarespace customers like artist Emil Lukas.
