VillaLola: Stunning Home Perched Above a Fjord Mirrors the Icelandic Landscape

    This picturesque VillaLóla house by <a href="http://www.ark.is/">ARKIS</a> overlooks a fjord in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eyjafj%C3%B6r%C3%B0ur">Eyjarfjördur</a>, Iceland - one of the most serene places on earth. VillaLóla was inspired by Swiss mountains and Japanese architecture, although the breathtaking design was carefully conceived to complement its surrounding landscape. The building's three peaks point towards the sky to form a valley between the angles of the roof, echoing the mountains that surround the fjord.
