The Kubik is a Glowing Pre-Fabulous Party Venue

For a few years now <a href="http://http://balestraberlin.com/"> Kubik </a>has travelled Europe setting up <a href="http://inhabitat.com/2010/06/11/prefab-bar-made-from-tubs-lights-up-the-night/">prefab</a> nightlife for thousands ready to groove. Behind the light show's bumps and beats are towers of common water tanks stacked high to provide backdrops for countless shows and festivals. Designed by Blestra Berlin, the instant venues have hit all corners of the continent in all conditions to keep the bash lit late into the night. The simple idea morphed into a <a href="http://www.kubikbarcelona.com/">full green scene</a>—click to hit the dance floor.

This version of the Kubik is set in an ice rink in Barcelona. Pink and white lights compliment the instant club scene on skates.

Here, <a href="http://www.kubiklisboa.com">Lisbon's</a> Tejo river was witness to the green glow of a party 25,000 people strong.

In <a href="http://www.kubikhamburg.de/video.html">Hamburg</a> at an old storage facility on the shore of the river Elbe, a rail track ran alongside the Kubik and every time a train passed by, it triggered Kubik lights on the roof of the location.

Eindhoven, The Netherlands was the very first location where the cubes blinked to the music.

An abandoned car lot got some prefab groove for a night in Bucharest.

This old soviet air base in Lärz, Germany witnessed four nights of brazen self expression at the Fusion Festival.

For a single night, Kubik was on a pedestrian bridge over the river Seine in Paris.

"110 orange illuminated tanks create a summer floor in the court yard of the Berlin based club Ritter Butzke. Surrounded by red bricks from the industrial building from 1860 the kubik labyrinth offers a new platform for the club goers during the summer nights from May to October 2010."
