But peer a little closer and you’ll find that his <a href="http://inhabitat.com/takanori-aibas-amazing-bonzai-castles-are-miniature-living-worlds/" target="_blank">intricate sculptures</a> are made of nothing more than cardboard and glue. The Australian artist recreates retro scenes and technologies in a series aptly called “Sets for a Film I’ll Never Make” - read on for a closer look!1

Daniel Agdad cardboard set for a filmWith the utmost precision, the artist can transform sheets of cardboard into <a href="http://inhabitat.com/kyle-beans-amazing-stick-insects-are-entirely-made-of-matchsticks/" target="_blank">the thinnest strips</a>, holding the conglomerations together with just PVA glue. He describes his fine sculptures as sketching with cardboard.5

Fine gears, delicate pipes and tiny wheels make of the cardboard machine sculptures. The <a href="http://inhabitat.com/amazing-miniature-sculptures-carved-from-pencil-tips/" target="_blank">delicacy of each</a> is amplified with his display- each is kept safe under a vintage looking bell jar case.6
