Honda has just revealed this incredible looking three-wheeled 3R-C concept vehicle at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. The sleek scooter-like pod is an EV that showcases Honda’s latest research into compact urban vehicles. Designed for one driver, the vehicle has a clear canopy that covers it when not in use and protects the rider from wind and rain.
The principal preocupation of the “>3R-C‘s designers was safety, and it shows. The driver sits protected within the vehicle’s frame, and the low center of gravity ensures that the 3R-C is safe to drive. Compact urban vehicles seem to pop-up every few months, promising a convenient, safe, and zero-emission alternative to full-scale vehicles. Honda’s 3R-C keeps up with this trend with a sleek EV that looks like it was plucked out of a comic book.

Hi. I think it would be much more dynamic if the driver would actually lean the other way round like riding a horse or riding a breaching Dolphin. Replace the brake light with the main light. With one wheel to the front and the hub could close fully over the driver and he’d really stay dry. Maybe only his boots sticking out the bottom sides finding rest on the sides like the stirrups of on horse. Visibility would be increased, height & g.center lowered accrued airflow and simple “fin like winglets” could add pressure and push the entire built towards the ground nearly and at the same time serve as storeage and give a sense of the back witdth at the front while riding it.
