Maff Micro Apartment Shows How Small Spaces Can Still Feel Luxurious
Set on the top floor of a 1890′s historic mansion, the Maff Apartment makes smart use of built-in cabinets, tables and even a built-in bed. A spacious bathroom on one side features a walk-in shower that’s even big enough to make suburbanites jealous. A kitchenette with a small sink, a built-in cook-top, and ample counter space is plenty big for any chef. The table, bench and bed take up the other side.
The expansive skylights provide impressive views of the city, opening up the space and bringing in natural daylighting. Dark floors, white walls and ceilings, and the orange upholstery also have a way of expanding the feel of the apartment. Even though the roof is slanted considerably, it does not make the space feel claustrophobic. Of course, the fact is that this studio is a vacation rental means that it doesn’t have any of the day-to-day clutter of life, but it’s still an impressively designed micro apartment and a good lesson in how to make small spaces feel luxurious. Rentals for the studio apartment begin at £105 per night.
