The new Giraffe House at the Auckland Zoo was designed by a joint effort from architects Monk Mackenzie and Glamuzina Patterson. This flexible breeding shelter accommodates both giraffes and zookeepers, who can observe and interact with the animals, thanks to moving sliding walls and doors.

A man from California has spent $35,000 to make his home more feline-friendly for his much-adored 18 cats. The whole playful design was carried out by Trillium Enterprises and includes plenty of wall-mounted walkways, floor-to-ceiling scratch posts and spaces design for cats to relax and take a good nap.
