  • Huge sculptures made from recycled vehicles
    <a title="6 Monstrous Sculptures Made From Recycled Vehicles" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upcycling" target="_blank">Upcycling</a>, the concept of putting rubbish to good use, isn't anything new, but recently we've been noticing that artists have been taking upcycling to the extreme with large-scale creations built from old car and bike parts. Large art pieces are usually difficult to make, because artists need large workshops, soldering tools and a lot of strength, but when done right it can be worth the trouble.     A work by Chinese artist <a title="6 Monstrous Sculptures Made From Recycled Vehicles" href="http://www.zcool.com.cn/work/ZNDk4OTcy/3.html" target="_blank">Wing Wah</a>, these incredible huge robots are built from all sorts of scrap metal coming from the automotive industry. They are part of the "Legend of Iron" project and inspired by the <a title="6 Monstrous Sculptures Made From Recycled Vehicles" href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0418279/" target="_blank">Transformers</a> movies, reducing landfill waste and turning it into a colorful treasure.

By welding together all sorts of elements like nuts, bolts and random Honda and Yamaha metal parts he creates stunningly expressive owls, cranes and dragons that are beautiful and scary.

    French creator <a title="6 Monstrous Sculptures Made From Recycled Vehicles" href="http://web.me.com/edouard.martinet/Edouard-Martinet/Bienvenue.html" target="_blank">Edouards Martinet</a> gives good use to bicycle parts and other assorted objects he founds at local flea/markets. He doesn't use any <a title="6 Monstrous Sculptures Made From Recycled Vehicles" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welding" target="_blank">welding</a> for his art, he just secure the parts using screws and a lot of patience to give our favourite two-wheelers a new life as birds, insects and sea creatures.

By assembling massive scrap metal <a title="6 Monstrous Sculptures Made From Recycled Vehicles" href="http://inhabitat.com/art-in-the-streets-recycles-cars-and-ice-cream-truck-as-canvases/" target="_blank">car parts </a>into bovine sculptures within a woodland lanscape, the award-winning artist creates a fam-like environment while raising awareness on sustainable issues.

    Inspired from Prehistoric Stonhedge landmark in Western England, artist Jim Reinders built a stunning replica replacing the spiritual stones from grey painted trucks and cars.
