Beautiful Snow-Capped Mountain House is Buried into a Dutch Hillside

    The relatively young but very talented firm <a href="http://www.denieuwegeneratie.nu/">Denieuwegeneratie</a> designed this striking earth-covered home in The Netherlands that produces more energy than it consumes. Given its location on a historical agricultural plot, it was crucial to the owners that the <a href="http://www.denieuwegeneratie.nu/">Dutch Mountain House</a> exist in harmony with its surrounding hilly landscape, so Denieuwegeneratie buried part of it in an artificial mountain! This slashes the project's environmental footprint while insulating the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/quirky-solar-powered-kiko-house-has-silver-bubble-windows-on-its-facade/">solar-powered home</a>, which produces enough excess energy to power an electric car.
