The Malacahuello cabin may not be the most spacious of vacation homes, but it more than meets the needs of anyone looking for a tranquil, minimalist getaway. Snowfall in this area can reach up to a meter high, so an elevated wood path leads through the forest and up to the slanted dark cabin hidden among the surrounding trees.
Inside, a large north facing window leads the eye towards a gorgeous view that looks out over the snow-covered forest. A few smaller, strategically placed windows throughout the single-room home help with natural ventilation during the summer months as well as permit a 180 degree view of the surroundings. The interior is open and luminous thanks to the minimalist concept and the warm bleached pine wood on the walls, ceiling and floors.
