The heated tree house retreat is perfect for reclaiming your serenity at any time of the year. Clad in wood from the private 6 acres of forested area, the stilted abode lets you sleep amongst the tree boughs protected by the forest canopy. A spiral staircase snakes around a tree trunk, that leads to the ample covered porch. Perfect for reading, meditating or taking in the fresh air, the porch is lined with a banister made from natural tree branches from the forest floor.

Inside, a full and twin bed are bunked in the sleeping area, with a ladder leading to an additional sleeping loft. Rustic shelves, an electric heater and shuttered windows keep the interior simple. A pitched roof with a sheet of skylights make for a flood of natural light during the day.

Outside, an outdoor kitchen and patio eating area is open seasonally, which extends the space. In the winter, the refrigerator and microwave are relocated inside. New Yorkers needn’t worry though since the tree house isn’t a total departure from modernity–there is a full bathroom just a few steps away.
