Here's What NYC's First Micro Apartments Will Look Like on the Inside ExteriorThe development captivated the attention of New Yorkers with its prefabricated, 250- to 370-square-foot units, and recently made headlines again when it was announced that the cheapest studios <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/take-a-video-tour-of-nycs-first-micro-unit-building-with-apartments-starting-at-950-a-month/">would rent for just $950 a month</a> (depending on the resident's income). 40 percent of the 55 apartments in the building have been set aside as affordable housing (with rents going up to $1,492 a month), while market-rate studios start at $2,000.12
