Brooklyn-based architecture and design studio <a href="http://jpda.net" target="_blank">Jordan Parnass Digital Architecture (JPDA)</a> has converted a gorgeous but tiny Battery Park City apartment into an ultra space-efficient wonder. The architects installed an "active wall" made up of sliding millwork partitions that transform the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/index.php?s=tiny+apartment" target="_blank">compact apartment</a> depending on the situation. This highly functional, space-saving ability results in a serene and uncluttered living area.

The beautiful layout opens up to a large open-air deck with expansive views of downtown Manhattan.

When opened, the living space has a small corner office with a fold out desk.

The active wall hides many features including the tv, dining room table, office desk, closet, bed, etc.

The active wall provdies a master bedroom that uses a fold-away Murphy Bed.
