Solar-Powered Modular N2X035 Home Peers Overs the Ocean in Portugal

<a href="http://www.n2xarquitectos.net/">[N2X] Arquitectos</a> just completed yet another fabulous project in Portugal - the solar-powered modular N2X035! Situated high in Água d'Alto so that it peers over the ocean, the 156-square-meter home is comprised of two black boxes with bright white interiors that feature an array of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/sustainable-housing/">sustainable features</a>.

The all-white interior might be off-putting for some, but for the designer it was the ultimate practical solution

Albeit simple, the home has really excellent detailing

Daylighting and ventilation can be controlled

We love the harmony between glass, steel and stone

Notice that doors can be shut to add more privacy as the need arises

N2X035 was built into the side of a steep hill, which helps to facilitate rainwater capture
