The Mod Green CUBE Restaurant Is Now Open For Reservations in Milan

    <a href="http://www.parkassociati.com/Site.html?lang=EN">Park Associati's</a> 'The Cube' restaurant recently popped up atop a rooftop in Milan, where it will serve as a showcase of modular architecture, local chefs and Electrolux's appliances. <a href="http://inhabitat.com/electrolux-cube-modern-prefab-restaurant-pops-up-atop-brussels-landmark/" target="_blank">The Cube debuted in Brussels</a> last April on the arc of the Parc du Cinquantenaire, where it sat serving lunch and dinner until July when it was taken down and transported to a site in Milan with views of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piazza_del_Duomo,_Milan" target="_blank">Piazza del Duomo</a>. <a href="http://inhabitat.com/cube-pavilion-mod-green-restaurant-to-pop-up-on-top-of-european-cliffs-and-famous-monuments/">The Cube</a> in Milano opened just before Christmas, and it will feature star Italian chefs, high-end Electrolux appliances, and energy-efficient mobile architecture.     The concept of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/cube-pavilion-mod-green-restaurant-to-pop-up-on-top-of-european-cliffs-and-famous-monuments/">The Cube</a> was to create a lightweight restaurant that could easily be assembled and disassembled in order to travel around Europe and find a new location on top of important monuments and spectacular locations.

    The project showcases architecture, luxurious kitchen design, the city and the chefs in a unique way.

    Designed by <a href="http://www.parkassociati.com/Site.html?lang=EN">Park Associati</a> for Electrolux, the mobile restaurant is lightweight and covered in a white, laser-cut, aluminum skin that works to maximize daylight and views while reducing solar heat gain.

    The 140 sq meter restaurant is divided between the open space and a 50 sq meter terrace.

    Inside the kitchen is open to the dinners so they can see the action and the large dining table disappears after dinner when it is raised into the ceiling to make more space for lounging and after dinner socializing.
