The Prism complex is a 40-story luxury condo-rental hybrid that includes a garden courtyard, an indoor lap pool, a yoga and spin room, a residential lounge, and personal bike and storage spaces. In addition, all residents will enjoy smoke-free living. The building has two main sections complemented by a vertical pavilion on each side. The voids between the volumes avoid the “light shaft” phenomenon by gathering natural light and optimizing city views.
The rental apartments range from studio to three-bedroom residences. No two apartments are identical; each unit is unique with angular, yet exceptionally functional floor plans. In some units, the layout protrudes over the street, creating a floating feeling. Units are completed with low-VOC paints, recyclable carpets, Energy-star appliances, and electric and water-efficient technologies. Each unit was designed to promote and enhance the well-being of its occupants.
Consistent with its commitment to healthy and sustainable living, the building will obtain LEED certification. Planned to be completed by Fall 2015, the Prism establishes new standards for modern luxury living. This architectural gem will continue to transform the already exciting neighborhood as it glows in the Manhattan skyline.
