Most people have long since forgotten about Hurricane Sandy, but a new mosaic called "When the Beach Met the Bay" made with 25,000 plastic caps offers solidarity to residents of Long Beach, New York, who are still dealing with the storm's messy aftermath. Merging her passion for community and the environment, Lisa Be organized for several youths to help collect a sea of plastic caps from around West Long Beach, which were used to erect a permanent public installation.
