The green roofs provide insulation for the homes, protection from the elements and assist in stormwater infiltration. The homes are oriented to take advantage of passive solar heating and natural daylight. Part of each home is located under the ground level, which provides additional insulation and protection from the elements.

Design for the project began in 2007 and it was recently completed in 2010. The project also won the Grand Prix for “2010 Architecture of the Year in Silesia region”.
