Now, in honor of the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/london-olympics/">London 2012 Olympics</a>, the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/lego/">LEGO</a> artists at Bright Bricks have created a model of the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/londons-2012-olympic-park-opens-to-the-public-this-week-after-years-of-preparation/london-olympic-park-3/">Olympic Stadium</a> in Stratford London. Composed of over <b>100,000 bricks</b> and weighing in at over 200 pounds, the model is a fitting arena for its hundreds of Olympic minifigures - including some created exclusively for the 2012 games.

The model uses hundreds of minifigures, including some created exclusively for the Olympic games.

The model is an incredibly detailed replica of the Olympic stadium and includes a running track, javelin field and awards podium.

The model stands in the Westfield shopping center in London, near the official London Olympics store, where the exclusive LEGO minifigures can be purchased.

The stunning model draws crowds that are sometimes four people deep.

Minifigures of the Great Britain team are included in the design among hundreds of other minifigures.

The minifigures are available for purchase exclusively in the UK market and include a boxer, swimmer and tennis player, among others.

The highly detailed model includes exterior views of the stadium, highlighting the construction of the actual stadium.

The field portion of the model was constructed using the SNOT method, which stands for Studs Not on Top. This means that the brick studs are not visible from the top, creating a smooth surface.
