Dazzling Dome Made From 30,000 LEDs Shines at Eindhoven’s Glow Festival

    Every year, the city of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/fantastic-ufo-shaped-evoluon-in-eindhoven-was-designed-by-philips-and-now-helds-green-events/">Eindhoven</a> in the Netherlands transforms into a luminous metropolis during the <a title="GLOW | GLOW licht lichtfestival light light festival eindhoven" href="http://www.gloweindhoven.nl/website/glow/glow.php?action=home" target="_blank">Glow festival</a>, a week-long celebration of art and light. This amazing Cupola dome created by <a title="DE CAGNA UN MONDO DI LED" href="http://www.decagna.com/4/" target="_blank">Luminarie De Cagna</a> was made from over 30,000 <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/led/">LED lights</a>. Taking cues from the architecture of the Renaissance, the 25-meter-tall building was erected around the city's large bronze sculpture of <a title="Anton Philips" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anton_Philips" target="_blank">Anton Philips</a>, a figure considered to be the modern father of Eindhoven.

    Last year at the Glow festival in Eindhoven, the Luminarie de Cagna dazzled onlookers with Cupola, a cage of multi-colored LED lights.
