rAndom International Unveils Brilliant Kinetic Artworks During Paris Design Week

    London-based studio <a title="rAndom International Reveal Brilliant Kinetic Artworks During Paris Design Week" href="http://random-international.com/" target="_blank">rAndom International</a> showcased a brilliant collection of works at Le Marais' <a title="rAndom International Reveal Brilliant Kinetic Artworks During Paris Design Week" href="http://carpentersworkshopgallery.com/en/Exhibitions" target="_blank">Carpenters Workshop Gallery</a> during this year's<a title="rAndom International Reveal Brilliant Kinetic Artworks During Paris Design Week" href="http://www.parisdesignweek.fr/en/" target="_blank"> Paris Design Week</a>. Surprising, fun and low-energy, "Before The Rain" consist of a series of <a title="rAndom International Reveal Brilliant Kinetic Artworks During Paris Design Week" href="http://inhabitat.com/beaming-reflex-installation-features-thousands-of-interactive-led-lights/" target="_blank">kinetic artworks</a> and interactive installations that respond to viewers' movements, making them more self-aware. Founded by Stuart Wood, Florian Ortkrasss and Hannes Koch, Random International has been creating kinetic dialogues between machines and humans since 2005.

    "Study of Time" is an illuminated autonomous algorithm that displays a digital clock to explore the relationship between human creations like time, light and shadow.

    "Swarm Light" mixes <a title="rAndom International Reveal Brilliant Kinetic Artworks During Paris Design Week" href="http://inhabitat.com/mit-researchers-create-led-light-that-exceeds-100-percent-efficiency/" target="_blank">LEDs</a> hanging from polished brass rods with custom circuits boards, custom driver software and hardware, a behavioral <a title="rAndom International Reveal Brilliant Kinetic Artworks During Paris Design Week" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algorithm" target="_blank">algorithm</a>, sound / motion sensors and a computer interface to represent "collective consciousness"

Surprising, fun and low-energy, "Before The Rain" consist of a series of kinetic artworks and interactive installations that respond to viewers' movements, making them more self-aware. Founded by Stuart Wood, Florian Ortkrasss and Hannes Koch, Random International has been creating kinetic dialogues between machines and humans since 2005.
