
The house is located on a sloping site in Victoria, Australia. The configuration of the plot dictated the form of the building, which the owners wanted to be all on a single level for convenience. Completed in 2014, the building functions as a friendly getaway where the couple can relax between travels.

The main living area faces north and is naturally ventilated, while the bedrooms are oriented to the east to receive optimal amounts of natural light in the mornings. External timber claddingadds warmth to the house and makes it look like a cozy mountain cottage.
