The LED bulb speaker is one of four new products in Sony’s Life Space UX line, which aims to better people’s lives by liberating them from some of the restrictions placed on them by devices that are currently available on the market.
The 360-lumen LED bulb can be screwed into a standard light socket, making it a wireless alternative to traditional speakers. Since it takes up no more space than the bulb itself, it’s particularly well-suited for small spaces or rooms with limited surface space.

The bulb speaker can be controlled via the included remote or through your phone or tablet via Bluetooth, allowing you to dim it, change its colors, or flip through songs with ease.

The other products in the Sony Life Space UX collection comprise a compact portable projector that uses just 18W as opposed to other standard projectors that use around 100W, a glass speaker made of recyclable materials and organic glass, and a 4K projector.
The LED bulb speaker will be available at the New York City MoMA store and at www.momastore.org starting in May for $239.
