The front of the restaurant is decked out in local, restored mahogany and metal planters adorn the outside with an integrated menu design and the bar area includes original brickwork and a custom salvaged wood shelving unit. The bar itself is a combination of butcher block and limestone, with reclaimed wood edging.
The main dining area is actually hidden behind the bar. Affectionately called “The Grange,” the room is similar to an open barn, completely clad in reclaimed wood from ceiling to floor. Antique mirrors and custom lighting give the room a warm, subtle glow at night while the wall of windows naturally brightens the space during the day.
The Goodwin is located on Hudson Street and is open every day but Sunday.
