Bridgette Meinhold

Bridgette Meinhold is an artist and writer living in a small A-frame cabin in an aspen grove just outside of Park City, UT. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University and a Master’s degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Stanford. Bridgette works as an encaustic & watercolor painter out of her recycled shipping container studio and is represented at numerous galleries in the Mountain West. Her artwork seeks to capture and preserve in wax her memories of time spent in the mountains. She also enjoys painting in plein air as a way to connect with nature. Meinhold is the former Architecture Editor for Inhabitat.com, where she wrote about green design, architecture and sustainability for eight years. She is also the author of Urgent Architecture: 40 Sustainable Housing Solutions for a Changing World under W.W. Norton released in March 2013. When she's not writing or painting, Bridgette spends her time hiking, skiing, climbing and biking all over Utah.
