Versatile Pillbug Light Is a Wall Sconce, Table Lamp or Chandelier by
The Pillbug Lamp by Kristof Kovacs is a design that can be used in a variety of applications: a wall sconce, table lamp, or even a chandelier depending on how wide its shade is opened or closed. The designer was inspired by the natural forms of woodlice, armadillos, and the light's namesake, the pillbug. The shell is made from high-impact polystyrene, and the designer is currently searching for a recycled plastic alternative. The uniqueness of this design rests in its versatility, and its ability to fit any flat or angled surface. The designers intention was to create a surprisingly familiar, and yet unusual form that could accommodate LED technology.

This totally reminds me of some sort of insect creature.
Love the versatility. doodling on the pieces would be fun too – if you are not afraid of disturbing the pristine qualities. This makes moving sooooo much better.
A friendly, helpful and nice angel sleeping head covered under the wings. I like it.
J’ai pensé d’abord à un nautile (nautilus), mais oui encore plus a un cloporte si j’avais sur ce qu’était ‘pillbug’! IL faudrait améliorer le centre. Bravo surtout pour la flexibilité fonctionnelle.
like it’s versatility…..as a Chameleon adapts to its surroundings……cool
