Hangelier 2.1 Recycles Unwanted Hangers and Bike Parts by

The Hangelier series by Alex Witko is made up of  lampshades crafted from salvaged bike parts and off-the-shelf wooden hangers. Inspiration for the Hangelier series came visiting a local thrift store and came across racks and racks of plastic coat hangers that were completely unused. From a distance the shape of the light resembles a classic lamp shade, while up close it surprises viewers with its unique use of materials. The lamps are outfitted to work with low-energy LED bulbs, and are a great example of design innovation that doesn't hurt the environment.
